27th Feb 2010, Buddha Jayanti 2554 is to be held in Tokyo
NIFJ announces the celebration of the 2554th Buddha Jayanti on the 9th of May, 2010 at Zentoin Temple located at Tokyo Hatsiouji.
Time 10:00--15:30
NIFJ has been organizing this program since 6 years. Each year, more than 100 peoples . participate in the program. So,
NIFJ would like to request all the Nepalese and foreigners staying in Japan to participate and make this program a huge
success as each year.

9th August 2008 'Kwati Punhi and World Indigenous Day' held in Tokyo
World Indigenous Peoples Day in Tokyo at its Annual Kwati Punhi(tradition of eating mixed beans soup)held at
Dharma Restaurant followed by an interaction program celebrating the World Indigenous Day,in which the chief guest
Mr. Malla K. Sundar delivered the speech about the history of Indigeneous people and also inlight the further
strengthen the national cooperation for the solution of problems faced by indigenous people in such areas as culture,
education, health, human rights,social and economic development.Also present was the Ambassador of Nepal
Dr.Ganesh Yonjon Tamang.

June 1st 2008 Buddha Jayanti Celebrated in Tokyo
On 1st June 2008 Lord Buddha's Birthday(Buddha Jayanti 2552)was celebrated at Gohyaku Rakanji Temple,
Shin Meguro,Tokyo. more than 150 people gathered this ocassion and prayed togetherfor the World Peace.

12th August 2007 'Kwati Punhi and World Indigenous Day' Program
Sports, Interaction and Party to mark the 13th World IndigenousPeoples' Day.NIFJ observed 13th
World Indigenous Peoplefs Day in Tokyo at its Annual Kwati (tradition of eating mixed beans soup) party
with added sports events of swimming, Bhutumali (kite) flying, Champati and Pandas games at scenic island
of Enoshima in the suburb of Tokyo. The sports events were followed by an interaction programme on new
Nepal and party at Nepal Restaurant Anita at Sagami Ouno.

Buddha Jayanti Celebrated in Tokyo
On 3rd May 2007 Lord Buddha's Birthday(Buddha Jayanti 2551)was celebrated at Joenji Buddhist Vihara,
Shinjyuku,Tokyo. 200 people gathered on this ocassion and prayed together for the World Peace.
